Country Manager (Hong Kong), Consumer Fintech Startup

As a Country Manager for Hong Kong, you will set the market vision, coordinate and grow a high-performance team that delivers the outcomes needed to grow audience, revenue, breadth of offerings and profitability in your market.

Our client is a fintech series B start-up who will be setting up operations in Hong Kong and they are looking for a dynamic individual as its Country Manager.

You will also be front-and-centre in terms of market evangelism, PR and branding with activities like giving talks to create awareness about our client and promoting good financial practices among people.

This role will be based in Hong Kong.


What you’ll do:

  • Recruiting, nurturing, and embedding company’s culture within a cross-functional in-market team spanning sales, marketing, operations and content

  • Developing a vision and securing buy-in from across the business

  • Overall responsibility for P&L, growth targets, sales and marketing strategies

  • Coordinating and implementing a local strategy across Sales, Marketing, Content and Product to onboard and deepen the relationship with new partners, grow our audience and meaningfully engage and support our users in achieving their financial goals

  • Exploring local business development opportunities (sponsorships, partnerships, and co-marketing promotions)

  • Optimising operations and coming up with innovative solutions to local problems

  • Managing all local Audit, Finance and HR processes



  • 5+ years experience leading and growing teams

  • General Management and P&L experience preferred

  • Knowledge of bank or insurer commercial sales cycle

  • Understanding of core finance and HR concepts

  • Retail financial product (banking and insurance) understanding preferred

  • Digital Savvy (Experience in digital business)

  • Strategic partnerships with banks, insurers and other financial institutions (number and depth of relationship)

  • Acquisition, Conversion and Revenue
