Country Manager (SG) - Consumer Fintech Startup

As a Country Manager for Singapore, you will set the country strategy and lead execution of campaigns, partnerships and activities that will drive customer acquisition within this market. You will also be front-and-centre in terms of market evangelism, PR and branding with activities like giving talks to create awareness about our client and promoting good financial practices among people.

Our client is a fintech series B start-up who is looking for a dynamic individual as a Country Manager for its Singapore market.

 

What you'll do:

  • Recruiting, nurturing, and embedding company culture within a cross-functional in-market team spanning sales, marketing, operations and content.

  • Developing a vision and securing buy-in from across the business

  • Overall responsibility for P&L, growth targets, sales and marketing strategies.

  • Coordinating and implementing a local strategy across Sales, Marketing, Content and Product to onboard and deepen the relationship with new partners, grow audience and meaningfully engage and support users in achieving their financial goals.

  • Exploring local business development opportunities (sponsorships, partnerships, and co-marketing promotions)

  • Optimising operations and coming up with innovative solutions to local problems

  • Managing all local Audit, Finance and HR processes

 

Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years experience leading and growing teams

  • General Management and P&L experience prefered

  • Knowledge of bank or insurer commercial sales cycle

  • Understanding of core finance and HR concepts

  • Retail financial product (banking and insurance) understanding prefered

  • Digital Savvy (Experience in digital business)

  • Strategic partnerships with banks, insurers and other financial institutions (number and depth of relationship)
