Deputy Director EdTech (SG) - Corporate Social Enterprise

Responsibilities

A government linked social enterprise is looking for a strategic ICT director to develop and grow their ICT business unit by: 

  • Developing and driving business growth strategies for ICT
  • Enhancing and forging strategic alliance with existing or new ICT partners
  • Working with government agencies for public funding for ICT courses
  • Reviewing and improving the current ICT courses to ensure quality and relevance
  • Developing product training and/or soft skills training for sales staff to improve sales pitch for ICT products
  • Help to develop new ICT training specifically in cyber-security, data analytics and cloud computing

Critical Work Functions / Key Tasks

  • Develop Go-to-Market strategies & action plans together with business partners and internal stakeholders
  • Keep up to date of the industry, market and competitors to develop unique selling propositions & differentiators
  • Build strategic relationship with industry stakeholders and explore opportunities for mutual benefit
  • Identify and onboard new ICT partners, and take lead to negotiate business terms and contracts
  • Take lead to work with government agencies for public funding for ICT courses
  • Work with Marketing team to create effective marketing campaigns for ICT products, including new product launches
  • Lead ICT team and monitor day-to-day running of operation to ensure smooth progress
  • Review product training content and develop training for sales staff to improve sales pitch for ICT products
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability for the ICT business unit.
  • Evaluate overall performance of business unit by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics

Requirements

  • Proficient knowledge of ICT products and keeping updated on latest ICT trends 
  • At least a Masters qualification in ICT or equivalent
  • More than 6 years of ICT-related experience, with at least 3 years in leadership or supervisory position 
  • At least 8 years’ experience in business (P&L) experience
