Head of Sales & Partnerships (SG) - Online Travel Startup

Build and manage the company’s Hotel Sales & Partnership team
Build inventory in the company target inventory markets and work with core lead team to determine strategic and tactical approaches to opening new markets.
Manage markets, distribution strategy, new hotel partnerships, media management, and support teams.
Play a key role in reaching company's revenue targets and in driving overall growth.
Lead efforts to contract high number of new hotels consistent with the company’s brand and editorial voice.
Work with Marketing lead (and team) to drive growth and revenue the company.
Effectively communicate partner feedback and improvement to product team.
Implement and monitor parameters of commercial relationships with hotels/hotel groups such as commission rates, rate parity, and inventory sourcing.
Marketing to individual hotels/hotel groups to how the company can best drive sales, evaluate performance of promotions, and provide guidance on optimisation methods.
Develop and preserve high-level relationships with key hotel suppliers in all target markets.
Oversee conversion of existing and new properties to the company’s web-based Extranet via channel managers and direct connects.
Propose and evaluate online distribution channels to provide inventory to the company platform.
Create and maintain synergy between the company’s Hotel Sales & Partnership team and the Product, Marketing and Customer Service teams for best service to the company’s suppliers and consumers.
Collaborate daily with various team leads within the company to resolve issues and share relevant information (marketing, accounting, creative, editorial, and technology).
Strong character, who fosters a culture of trust and candour, and an ability to manage a team effectively.
Must demonstrate an understanding of the travel industry and online distribution channels.
Existing relationship with hotels and other travel suppliers is a plus.
Demonstrable track record in driving revenues
Able to evidence an effective international sales approach, with particular focus on ASEAN markets.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious startup
Effective communication in English
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters;
The role will require significant exposure across ASEAN, therefore language skills may be advantageous.
