Country Manager (HK) - HR Tech

Our client is a forerunner platform in their native East Asia HQ established in recruiting and social networking, matching candidates to prospective employers with like minded passion and values via social networking services such as like Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter etc.

Their regional expansion lends them to be to one of the largest social driven recruitment services in Asia. Now looking to extend and expand growth of the Hong Kong arm and value add to their customers, ConnectOne is seeking a passionate, go-getting, digital first and revenue driven individual to lead and take our client towards the next phase of success.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to play an integral role in shaping and taking ownership and accountability of the business development strategy within a new and fast-growing social recruitment tech start-up.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a key member of the management team, working closely with the company leaders regionally, leading on ground in Hong Kong to implement the following:

  • Develop and execute business strategy to ensure growth and achievement of revenue objectives, with key emphasis on driving these achievements via the platform as the primary channel;

  • Scale the company by nurturing the existing team while continuing the growing traction, community, and partnerships externally to increase client acquisition;

  • Overall accountability for monthly KPIs in sales, user engagement, and general market traction;

  • Oversee the implementation of a proactive approach to relationship and account management, in line with company philosophy (i.e. creating the biggest social impact through scale-able technology- driven solutions);

  • Develop and implement an continue the brand advocacy of the company towards an ambitious plan for market leadership in Hong Kong within 12 months;

  • Identify trendsetter ideas, and be engaged with the industry and related events and publications;

  • Secure and grow strategic long-term affiliate and brand partnerships;

  • Play a key role in developing an entrepreneurial, proactive, positive, high-intensity culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (academic results do not matter), or in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, 10 years or more of exceptional working experience

  • A hands on and nurturing manager within a business operational and client-facing role. Those with background in SasS, digital media or enterprise sales industries will be at an advantage.

  • You have experience leading and running a start-up or team with functions across sales and development, marketing and tech.

  • You should be able to bash through bureaucracy and non-replies, maintain momentum for the field operatives, have a growth hacking mindset and be willing to constantly develop and try new approaches with outcomes that align with the business goal.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You must be able to prove that you’re a go-getter. Possess willingness to shatter existing paradigms and break free of own comfort zone, and ability to find innovative solutions to problems in the quickest possible time.

  • You present knowledge and personal passion for the development of people and talent management, both generally and using social tools.

  • Candidates must be currently located in Hong Kong.

  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English as well as Cantonese.

  • Any previous entrepreneurial experience (including failures) or involvement with any early stage start-ups will be considered extremely favourably.
