Country Manager (PH) - Med Tech

Our client is a health tech company that’s developed and deployed the first scalable, distributed medical software designed for affordable access around the world. They work with large healthcare chains, public health systems, and group practices to scale their business operations seamlessly without the pain or cost of legacy medical software.

Our client is seeking a Country Manager for the Philippines, reporting directly to the COO, to achieve the following.


1. Achieve exponential growth by building and leading our Philippines team

  • Refine our go-to-market strategy and identify customer segments for prioritization to build a strong commercial pipeline to maintain our growth momentum

  • Manage our Philippines commercial team by setting team and individual objectives and key results, and provide effective coaching and mentoring to support them

  • Develop and track commercial team performance, and use commercial results to determine and address knowledge and performance gaps

  • Identify, attract and recruit talented members to our Philippines team, and structure it to achieve commercial effectiveness to achieve targets for commercial execution

2. Establish the business as a visible, credible presence in the Philippines healthcare landscape

  • Nurture and grow the business’s high-level relationships in the industry such as healthcare administrators, public health officials, and key opinion leaders

  • Manage the business’s existing strategic Philippine partners to create strong promoters, drive new projects, and establish reference partners/customers

  • Identify and drive strategic opportunities with key accounts in the private, public and educational sectors to showcase the capabilities of the platform

  • Maintain a deep understanding of local customer needs and serve as the chief Voice of the Customer for the Philippines within the business

  • Co-lead the planning and execution of the business’s participation in major healthcare events such as the Philippine College of Radiology Annual Convention

Critical Qualities

  • Domain expertise

    The role requires an experienced manager with a proven track record of delivering on commercial targets in a healthcare or technology setting. Additional background or expertise in healthcare informatics or medical in the Philippines or the region is a strong preference.

  • Strategic mindset

    To successfully guide the business’s expansion in the Philippines, the Country Manager must establish a strong understanding of the market landscape and map out how to further strengthen the business’s positioning, resources, and network to drive exponential growth.

  • Tenacious execution

    The Country Manager will be expected to deliver on targets set by the Board for scaling up our business in the market. The ability to relentlessly drive results, prioritize his/her time, and manage or obtain the right resources to achieve them are key requirements for the role.

  • Team builder/manager

    The Country Manager is expected to be a strong individual contributor. He/She will also be expected to build and nurture the local commercial team to support further growth and effectively manage and develop his/her team members.
