Full Stack Tech Lead (SG) - EduTech

Our client is a funded EduTech start-up that helps organisations of all sizes and sectors around the world create a highly engaged learning culture. They host over 200, 000 members on the platform, which involves a lot of heavy mobile use.

The startup was founded in the UK but has branched out to several countries including Singapore. As the majority of their customers are in Asia, our client wishes to move their development hub to Singapore and expand their team there.

Our client is searching for a full stack tech lead who can build and grow their team of developers. You will be working together with the marketing and product team as well as your own team of developers in order to execute the company’s strategies and bring the desired product into fruition.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the product, business and marketing team to engineer and implement the desired product

  • Strong understanding of the front-end and back-end development

  • Lead and secure the team on-time delivery

  • Guide your team towards technical and operational excellence

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of team lead experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a degree in a similar field

  • Proficient use and understanding of Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Postegresql, MySQL, Terraform and Redis

  • A strong sense of leadership and teamwork skills

  • A keen interest and willingness to work in a startup environment

  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment

  • Experience in leading teams, coaching and mentoring.

  • Experience in a web-based product and going through a full software development cycle.

  • Good years of experience in development using Java technologies

  • Strong experience with Spring Framework

  • Experience in leading teams through change

  • Demonstrated ability to grow talent and leverage teams effectively for optimal success

  • Proven track record of strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
