Head of Communications (ID) - PropTech

Our client is a leading member of the PropTech startup scene in Indonesia. In line with their rapid expansion plans, they are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Communications

Working closely with the leadership team, you will be the key person behind effective communications spanning across internal and external stakeholders. As the spokesperson of the company, you are essentially the brand steward tasked to build a positive image and increase brand awareness. You will control the dissemination of information on the company’s behalf in order to make it consistent and engaging. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Public/Media Relations

Spokesperson for media interviews & public speaking events. Strong network & engagement with reporters & high level media representatives through media visit, gathering & outreach. Deliver high-quality communication materials both in press kits and on the company website. Be in charge of crisis management and ensure proper briefing or training for company personnel.   

  • Government Relations  

Follow up on leads for speaking sessions held by government agencies. Initiate and maintain close partnerships with government agencies. Conduct regular visitations to relevant government agencies (Bekraf, Kemenpar, Kemenkominfo, etc).

  • Internal Communication

Improve internal communications by creating a proper communication and process flow. Instill positive corporate values in employees through various initiatives with the Human Capital Department.

  • Community Engagement

Create strategies to build member communities. Evaluate and generate leads for partnership events. Supervise the planning and implementation of key events such as knowledge sharing or networking sessions. Devise data-driven metrics to evaluate the performance of such events. 

  • Event Management/Production

Supervise the planning & implementation of external flagship events. Be strategic in creating events to boost the company’s image.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Manage and drive CSR initiatives for a positive relationship with the community. 


Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or Master Degree in Public Relations or Communications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Public Relations specialist or journalist preferred

  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written

  • Proficiency in Ms. Word, Ms. Excel, and Ms. Power Point

  • Extensive network of journalists & high-level media representatives

  • Extensive network of government officials and NGOs

  • Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through multiple channels

  • Leadership skills in managing big teams

  • Strong copywriting skills and abilities in developing media contents

  • Possesses great initiatives and proactive in problem solving

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent public speaking skills

  • Problem solver with an eye for details and processes

  • Driven and results-oriented
