Head of Business Development (SG) - HealthTech

Our Client :

A venture backed US based startup that is expanding to Asia and aims to deliver an accurate, actionable, accessible and affordable mobile assessment of brain health. They leverage AI and machine learning to gather insights from data to drive population health knowledge about cognition and its relationship to various diseases.

They are seeking an Asia Director of Business Development to join their team in Singapore.

The Director of Business Development understands that the best product doesn’t win – what wins customers is story, relationships, and the ability to know and care about the problems your customers face – both those your product solves and beyond that. You are an energetic, passionate, motivated, and hungry person who wants to be part of taking a company from growth stage to exit and create valuable customer relationships that contribute to the growth of our business. You will leverage your healthcare sector network to develop relationships that create valuable opportunities for both Savonix and our customers. You will deliver exceptional service by taking ownership of the customer experience from point of introduction to assessing potential customer needs to recommending a beneficial solution based on a thorough knowledge of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Rapidly develop and maintain a thorough understanding of  Asian markets( Singapore, Hong Kong and China), competitors, sales cycles, marketing campaigns, healthcare influencers and consumer behaviors

  • Understand and execute on the BD strategy for Asia with focus on the assigned markets as above.

  • Develop business opportunities by hunting for prospects, evaluating their needs, assessing the relevance of our products and services to those needs, and developing needs-based solutions

  • Engage appropriate team members, as needed, to refine solution, address prospect concerns, and support conversion from prospect to customer

  • With the support of the Customer Success Team, maintain relationships with customers by providing ongoing support, information-sharing, and product and service updates

  • Based on customer feedback and evolving market and competitor landscape, suggest product improvements and/or new products to our portfolio

Key Requirements :

  • Proven track record of Business Development success backed by evidence of high customer retention and growth

  • Ability to develop and maintain senior-level customer relationships.

  • Experience in clinical sales strongly preferred.

  • Sales experience in Digital Health SaaS and/or licensed software products and services

  • Strong prospecting, planning, and negotiation skills

  • Willing to travel up to 75% time

  • Must be fluent in Chinese and English (writing and reading)
