VP of Marketing (MY) - eCommerce

Our client is a Malaysian-based series B startup that operates an online shopping site that provides a cost-effective online marketing channel, that will assist online merchants, service providers and more traditional brands accelerate online customer acquisition and sales.

  • Own our client’s brand identity, encompassing their partners, media and shoppers and deepen their position as an independent and trusted authority in the e-commerce sector

  • Recruit and manage a regional marketing team of 25+ experts covering all topics from Content Marketing, over Social and Influencers to CRM; evaluate their performance and develop their careers to their full potential

  • Crystallize our client’s value proposition and drive key features on their roadmap in collaboration with their UX & product teams

  • Bring our client’s data platform to the next level to support all these additional requirements and work closely with the tech teams on the actual implementation

  • Be highly entrepreneurial when building a big community and loyal base of power users through growth hacking and guerrilla strategies that don't cost millions of dollars in marketing money

  • Join the leadership team of the company, evolve and drive the vision, ensure the team double down on competitive advantages in an extremely fast-moving ecosystem



  • Experience conceptualizing brand stories, developing a communication strategy and executing on it with clear metrics to measure success

  • Track record in leadership positions and building teams across multiple countries in South East Asia

  • Experience working with other teams in a cross-functional and agile environment

  • Structured approach to problem solving and highly analytical - "numbers driven"

  • Deep knowledge of all aspects of the affiliate marketing space in SEA and around the world or at least the interest to find out more!

  • Brand Equity, CRM, Social, SEO, SEM and Content Marketing are part of your base vocabulary
