Chief Commercial Officer (SG) - Urban Farming Startup [22P11]

Our client is an urban farming start-up that designs, builds and operates systems and solutions to grow ultra-fresh pesticide-free local produce in urban cities.  They are currently looking for a goal-oriented Chief Commercial Officer to join their fast-growing team in Singapore.

Along with the founders, you will drive the B2B and B2C commercial strategies through national retailers, distributors, food services, corporate clients and eCommerce platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop business growth strategies: marketing and business development strategies to help meet organisational goals and objectives

  • Implement brand strategies – strategic planning through advertisement, brand presence in the marketplace, commercial and consumer events

  • Oversee branding and marketing endeavours to ensure all efforts are aligned with business goals

  • Conduct market research to inform strategic business decisions

  • Attend networking events and build industry connections to facilitate business growth

  • Build and nurture client/distributor relationships to continue winning new contracts

  • Negotiate new projects and contract terms with new clients/retailers/distributors

  • Works closely with key accounts to further launch new products and enhance revenue and profitability of existing product lines

  • Ensure that the organisation complies with contractual obligations as well as local regulations

  • Generate and present progress reports with key insights and recommendations

  • Work closely with founders and other department heads to determine company goals and KPIs

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and at least 8 years of working experience in a consumer brand or product (experience in the FMCG industry would be a plus)

  • Excellent marketing, sales and operational management with fantastic communication and networking skills

  • Possess a collaborative mindset and work well as part of a team

  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and industry contacts
