AI & Digital Lead (SG) - F&B Lifestyle

The Opportunity

Our client is a homegrown, premium lifestyle and F&B brand, well-loved for their commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and a community-centric approach. 

As the AI & Digital Initiatives Lead, you will drive the execution of technology-enabled initiatives across our regional retail and production operations. This role focuses on high-impact projects spanning customer experience, loyalty, sales operations, and internal tools that support team efficiency.

This is a hands-on, high-accountability execution role. You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to translate business priorities into scalable digital solutions. You are the ultimate owner of the project lifecycle, responsible for taking initiatives from conceptual scripts to full operational implementation and long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Project Ownership

  • Act as the single point of accountability for the success or failure of digital initiatives.

  • Drive momentum independently, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to standard, and actually solve the intended business problem.

  • Translate business needs into clear project scopes and technical requirements without needing constant oversight.

2. AI & Digital Project Execution

  • Lead implementation of AI-driven tools, including in-store service flows, loyalty enhancements, and automated order management.

  • Develop and deploy practical, working prototypes through rapid iteration and custom scripting.

3. System Architecture & Integration

  • Evaluate and integrate disparate platforms (e.g., E-commerce, POS, CRM).

  • Write and maintain custom scripts (Python/JavaScript etc) to bridge gaps between platforms where native integrations are insufficient.

  • Configure and extend low-code platforms (Zapier, Make, Airtable etc) using custom code blocks to handle complex logic.

4. Automation & Process Engineering

  • Audit current manual workflows and engineer automated replacements using AI APIs.

  • Build internal tools to reduce administrative overhead in production and logistics hubs.

Key Requirements

  • Ownership Mindset. You possess a "find a way or make one" attitude. You do not just identify problems; you own the solution from the first line of code to the final SOP. You are comfortable being the person the business relies on when a critical system integration requires troubleshooting.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a highly quantitative field.

  • Experience: 3–6 years in Product, Technical Operations, or Systems Engineering- ideally within a tech-enabled startup or operationally complex environment.

  • Tech Stack:

    • Python: Ability to write scripts for data manipulation, API consumption, and task automation.

    • JavaScript: Proficiency in using JavaScript for web-based tools, custom tracking, and extending low-code platforms.

    • AI Implementation: Hands-on experience working with AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) beyond simple prompt engineering.

  • Systems Knowledge: Advanced mastery of automation middleware (Make.com/Zapier) and relational databases (Airtable/SQL).

  • Strong stakeholder management and communications skills; able to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
