CEO / Co‑Founder (SG) – Agentic AI/Automation Startup
Our Client
We are supporting an investor‑backed Agentic AI/Automation startup that has already achieved strong early product–market fit and fast‑growing revenue with SME / traditional businesses (e.g. F&B, distribution, logistics).
The product automates manual order and reconciliation workflows, replacing them with an intelligent AI engine that is cheaper, faster, and more reliable than human processing. Revenue is scaling quickly towards US$1M ARR, with committed investor support for expansion and future fundraising.
This is a chance to join as CEO / Co‑Founder at the point where:
The product works and is selling, and
The focus now is to build the company around it.
The Role
As CEO / Co‑Founder, you will:
Own the company strategy and P&L
Lead and scale go‑to‑market & revenue:
Turn strong initial sales into a repeatable, measured sales engine.
Design sales org, processes, quotas, and pipeline management.
Be the primary face to investors and key customers:
Lead fundraising
Present to VCs, boards, strategic partners, and enterprise / SME customers.
Over time, build the leadership team (e.g. Sales, Product, Tech), while keeping a tight feedback loop between customers and product.
Co‑create culture with the existing founders around humility, servant leadership, and on‑the‑ground practicality.
Work as a true peer with the existing founding team who has driven the initial commercial traction, complementing them with structured GTM, fundraising and organizational build‑out.
Key Requirements
Background & Experience
Former Founder / Co‑founder or very early senior operator in a tech / SaaS startup, ideally with an exit or clear experience scaling from early PMF to meaningful revenue.
Strong commercial & GTM DNA:
Built or led B2B / SaaS or enterprise‑like sales organisation.
Comfortable owning targets, building teams, and managing pipeline, quotas, and forecasts.
Demonstrated fundraising experience with VCs (in SEA and/or globally).
Cultural Fit & Personal Traits
Deep familiarity with Southeast Asia and comfort selling to traditional / SME owner-led businesses while also being credible with investors and corporates.
Hands‑on, low‑ego leader who can operate at both strategy and execution levels.
Fully committed and hands-on builder
Nice‑to‑Haves
Connectivity to Silicon Valley / YC / global tech ecosystems.
Prior experience operating across multiple SEA markets.
Tech‑savvy (does not need to code): understands how tech products are built and shipped, ideally with exposure to AI / data‑driven solutions.
What Success Looks Like
GTM & Revenue: Translate initial founder-led sales translated into a repeatable, data‑driven GTM engine (clear ICP, pricing, messaging, pipeline, quotas, and forecasting).
Market Traction in Singapore and test additional 1-2 markets for paying customers
Fundraising, Investor Relations & Governance: Be the company face to investors
Team & Operating System: Establish a light but robust operating cadence in place (OKRs, weekly pipeline reviews, product–customer feedback loops).
Founder Partnership & Culture: CEO operates as a true peer to the existing founders, with clear role boundaries and high trust. Culture characterized by humility, servant leadership, and on‑the‑ground pragmatism, while remaining ambitious and execution‑focused.
Compensation & Structure
Salary: Competitive with early‑stage CEO/co-Founder market in Singapore (with some flexibility on cash vs. equity mix).
Equity: Meaningful co‑founder‑level equity.
This role is open only to candidates who are currently eligible to work in Singapore.
