This opportunity is for a commercially astute and hands-on CEO to lead the transformation and growth of a well-established, $XM-revenue Learning & Development business recently acquired by a global roll-up vehicle. With a track record of profitability and an elite client base spanning global corporates, this company represents both a stable platform and a high-potential growth asset.
This CEO role will report directly to the board of the parent platform, a stealth-mode roll-up founded by seasoned investors and operators with plans to list in a couple of years. The role is pivotal in ensuring continued profitability, evolving the operating model, and exploring conservative growth strategies both organically and inorganically.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Strategic Leadership
Lead all aspects of day-to-day operations while preserving the company’s healthy margins and cash flow.
Define and execute a 100-day plan in alignment with platform-level goals—protecting the core while identifying low-risk growth avenues.
Assess and modernize internal capabilities including sales performance, CRM adoption, and digitization of services.
Own P&L responsibilities and ensure financial rigor in all decision-making.
Growth & Transformation
Evaluate and implement tech-enabled solutions to modernize product delivery and customer engagement.
Identify adjacent service opportunities (e.g., executive coaching, AI-powered training tools) to enhance client value and drive growth.
Prepare the business for potential bolt-on acquisitions that align with platform strategy.
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with internal leaders and the parent platform’s board members.
Represent the company in strategic discussions with investors and potential acquirers.
Align team culture with high-performance and accountability metrics, introducing KPIs and incentive models where needed.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Attributes
Proven leadership in an SME environment, ideally having managed or transformed a traditional services business.
Deep understanding of B2B business models, preferably in learning & development, HR tech, education, or professional services.
Track record of maintaining profitability and excellent cash position while introducing operational efficiencies.
Exposure to private equity, roll-ups, or mid-market acquisitions is strongly preferred.
Ability to work hands-on with lean teams while managing enterprise-level client expectations.
Mindset & Soft Skills
Data-driven and ROI-oriented in decision-making.
Collaborative and humble; able to co-create value with existing team members while driving cultural shifts.
Strategic yet pragmatic, with a strong sense of ownership and resourcefulness.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and defining their own leadership playbook.
Role Structure & Incentives
Base Salary: Base salary dependant on experience.
Equity Upside: Meaningful equity in the parent platform, planned for public listing hence creating long-term wealth opportunity tied to roll-up success.
Flexibility: While the role is envisioned as full-time and based in Singapore, exceptional fractional or interim candidates with strong strategic thinking and leadership chops will be considered.
