Our client is a growth stage startup who is building towards being Southeast Asia’s top Talent Platform.

They are looking for a CFO whose mission is to build and lead a high quality finance organization that manages critical responsibilities for the company. This leader will be informing important strategic and operational decisions; finding new insights to improve business performance; and being a partner to the CEO and a key member of the executive team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

●      Build a world class finance team: Structure and build the regional finance teams and fill key roles with A players. Build a strong organization and maintain a high talent bar at all levels. Actively grooms and develops a pipeline of internal talent for succession.


●      Strategic Finance:

○      Be a true business partner to the CEO and leadership team via strategic finance and analysis.

○      Manage the budgeting and planning process

○      Constantly look for and recommend ways to improve company performance. Not just keep score— strategically and opportunistically grow your company and help put points on the board.

●      Financial Operations:

○      Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audit process, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with all financial regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

○      Develop and implement financial controls and risk management processes to minimize financial risk and ensure financial stability.

●      Treasury & Tax:

○      Treasury: Manages the cash in the business efficiently and mitigates risks (currency etc) to the extent possible

○      Tax: Ensure company is compliant with various tax laws and regulations, and optimize tax obligations within compliance

●      Corporate Development:

○      Manage investor relations and communicate financial results and performance to the board of directors, investors, and other stakeholders.

○      Be a key member of the deal team during M&A opportunities

●      Executive Collaboration & Communication

○      Aligns key stakeholders and teams on a company wide scale key initiatives

○      Initiates and manages cross-team projects from ideation through execution that leads to successful outcomes

○      Be a key member of the executive leadership team and help shape the company culture and strategy. Understands and demonstrates global optimisation for the whole organization and that the first team is the leadership team, not the function or business unit that you are leading

REQUIREMENTS

●      Must Haves

○      Proven ability in building and leading high performing teams

○      Experience leading financial functions in scale up startups or mature companies

○      Executive leadership experience

○      Demonstrated track record of excellence in career

●      Nice to Haves

○      IPO experience

○      M&A experience

○      Investment banking, consulting, venture capital, private equity or corporate development experience

○      Experience with Southeast Asia emerging markets

○      Experience / familiarity with recruitment / HR industry
