Country Manager (Vietnam) - Fintech [24E04]

Our client is the first full-stack startup in the financial services sector with offices across South East Asia. Fueled by a mission of making financial services accessible and affordable for all, their innovative solutions empowers companies to eliminate operational risk, drive new revenue streams, optimise and enhance their existing products & services. 

They are seeking an experienced Country Manager/Head with a strong focus on developing and executing the overall business strategy and effectively leading a diverse team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceptualise and draft country strategy in line with the company strategy. 

  • Develop the operating plan across business lines and own the country P&L. 

  • Drive business development to bring and onboard new partners.  

  • Execute the operating plan in line with the country's regulations.

  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and policies.

  • Identify and execute M&A opportunities that solve the growth and/or compliance needs of the company.

  • Represent the company in public and professional settings, such as conferences, meetings, and events.

  • Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback and coaching, and identify opportunities for professional development. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent, but an MBA would be preferable.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the financial services or insurance industry with at least 7 years of managerial experience in a similar capacity.

  • Have a proven track record of driving business growth and success in a competitive environment.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans that align with the company's goals and objectives

  • Strong financial management and analytical skills, with the ability to create and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. 

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. 

  • Passion for innovation and disruption within the fintech/insurance industry, with a deep understanding of emerging technologies and trends.
