Credit Operations Manager (SG/MY) - Financial Services [25M01]

The role
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Operations Manager to play a critical role in establishing and operating their invoice factoring business unit. This is a unique opportunity to build a function from the ground up, leveraging your expertise in credit management, invoice factoring, and technology.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the invoice factoring process, from client onboarding and credit assessment to funding and collections.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the invoice factoring unit, including client onboarding, credit analysis, risk assessment, funding, collections, and reporting. 
- Be the Subject matter expert and power user of Loan Management System. Utilise it to effectively streamline processes and improve operational efficiency 
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies. 
Credit Analysis and Risk Management:
- Work with investment and portfolio management team to ensure credit-worthiness of existing and potential clients 
- Ensure that risk mitigation measures are in place for existing and potential clients. 
Process Improvement:
- Continuously analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement. 
- Develop and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve client satisfaction. 
- Leverage technology to automate tasks and improve data management. 
Client Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and support. 
- Respond to client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. 
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on loan performance, key metrics, and risk indicators. 
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and potential issues. 
- Provide insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making. 
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit operations, with a focus on invoice factoring. 
- Strong understanding of invoice factoring principles, processes, and best practices. 
- Proven ability to manage the full cycle of invoice factoring operations. 
- Experience in utilizing technology platforms for credit analysis and risk management. 
- Excellent credit risk assessment and analytical skills. 
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in asset-based lending or trade finance. 
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements.
