Job Position: General Manager Information Technology (ID) - Mining conglomerate
We are currently looking for a General Manager Information Technology to lead our client, an Indonesian listed mining conglomerate’s IT function and drive the company's technology strategy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems in support of mining operations.
This role will handle:
Leading the overall IT strategy, governance, and operations across Head Office and mining sites
Managing enterprise applications, including SAP/ERP, business systems, and digital platforms
Overseeing IT infrastructure, cloud services, networks, cybersecurity, and end-user support
Driving digital transformation, automation, AI, data analytics, and Operational Technology (OT) initiatives
Partnering with Operations, Asset Management, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Procurement to deliver technology solutions that improve safety, productivity, and operational performance
Ensuring robust IT governance, cybersecurity, business continuity, and disaster recovery
Managing IT budgets, strategic vendors, and technology investments
Leading and developing a high-performing IT organization
We are looking for someone with:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is an advantage)
Around 15–20 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Experience leading enterprise IT within mining, heavy equipment, manufacturing, oil & gas, logistics, or other asset-intensive industries
Strong knowledge of enterprise applications (SAP/ERP), infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and IT governance
Experience leading digital transformation and large-scale technology initiatives
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Commercial mindset with the ability to align technology strategy with business objectives
Preferred:
Experience supporting multi-site mining operations.
Familiarity with Fleet Management Systems (FMS), particularly Caterpillar MineStar™ and Komatsu DISPATCH/FMS, including integration with operational and enterprise systems.
Experience with Operational Technology (OT), IoT, equipment telematics, and industrial automation.
Experience implementing AI, advanced analytics, and data-driven operational solutions.
Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, TOGAF, CISSP, CISA, or cloud platform certifications are an advantage.
