General Manager Engineering (ID) - Mining conglomerate
Job Position: General Manager
Our client is a mining conglomerate and they are looking for an experience GM Engineering to join their team.
This role is responsible for:
• Monitoring and reviewing the implementation of Engineering Service & Standards improvement initiatives
• Controlling and directing the performance of production operations to ensure operational targets are met in accordance with the established budget.
• Controlling and directing the Yearly Mine Plan and Yearly Budget Project
Overall Objectives: Strategic Mine Planning
• Monitoring and reviewing the implementation of Engineering Service & Standards improvement initiatives, in order to ensure that the division's improvement initiatives are achieved.
• Controlling and directing the performance of production operations to ensure operational targets are met in accordance with the established budget.
• Ensuring the preparation of periodic revisions to the operational production budget (re-forecast) aligns with current conditions, in order to obtain the latest production targets.
• Controlling and directing the Yearly Mine Plan and Yearly Budget Project to ensure alignment between actual production, mine design, and the customer's annual production target (Yearly Customer Production Target).
• Controlling and directing the development of the Initial Draft Master Plan Project to ensure its alignment with project contracts and field conditions, serving as a work reference for preparation, development, and operational implementation.
• Directing and facilitating continuous improvement processes, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in engineering productivity in accordance with the approved budget, to ensure achievement of the established targets.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualifications
• Qualifications in Geological Engineering; Mining Engineering; Civil Engineering; Geodetic Engineering / Geodesy Engineering
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
• Proven experience and track record in negotiating
• Has a wide network in the mining services sector
• In-depth knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks affecting the mining sector
• Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate contractual risks or tendering course
• Strong business analysis to create strategy for marketing
• Excellent overall communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
