Head of Product (ID) - Mining Tech Consulting Company [23F05]

Candidates will be defining product strategy, managing the product team and overseeing the entire product development process from product idea conception to product launch and maintenance, as well as collaborating and aligning closely with the cross-functional teams from the tech and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set product vision & strategy to ensure it is aligned with the company's overall business goals and market needs

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks to understand market needs and make informed decisions

  • Manage product budgets and ensure projects are delivered on time

  • Manage and mentor a team of product managers, QA testers, and designers, and provide guidance, feedback, and support

  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture within the product team. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and agile work environment

  • Work closely with the Head of Technology to ensure that the product development process is efficient and effective

  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial to align on product-market fit, pricing and sales strategy

Hard Skills

  • Basic knowledge of software development: underlying tech, software development process, tools and platforms used by the tech team to be able to communicate clearly & effectively with the tech team

  • Product ideation & visioning: product innovation, validation, incubation, and translating ideas into clear product vision

  • Product planning & execution: manage cross-squad sprint planning, staffing planning, backlog management, and scrum management

  • Product validation & testing: cross-squads product-market-fit test (concept testing, concept validation, feature prioritization)

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related fields

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of delivering successful products in the software industry

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing teams of product managers, designers, and developers

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum

  • Deep knowledge of product management principles, software development methodologies, design principles, and engineering best practices

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
