Our client is a leading venture capital firm, headquartered in Singapore, with its strong reputation among entrepreneurs and investors. They invest across various industries within Southeast Asia but with an eye on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations and sustainability outcomes.
They are looking to grow their Investment team within Southeast Asia and are seeking Investment Analysts/Associates who are motivated and curious about tech and innovation, and want to be part of a growing VC firm in Southeast Asia’s vibrant startup eco-system.
Full-time roles available:
This role is open to suitable candidates currently based in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore:
Analyst: up to 4 years of working experience
Associate: between 5 and 10 years of working experience
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, structure, and execute investment transactions within the technology and startup space
Conduct financial analysis, due diligence, and market assessments for new investments and existing portfolio companies
Evaluate pitches from passionate entrepreneurs who want to raise debt financing as they scale their startup business throughout the region or globally.
Conduct due diligence and structure term sheets
Financial modelling of equity and credit instruments and preparation of investment slide proposals, including final presentation to the Investment Committee.
Presentation and marketing of investment propositions to senior management, investors and business partners
Attend networking events for deal sourcing
Key Requirements
Ambitious, entrepreneurial and embraces the fast-paced venture capital ecosystem
Open-minded, curious, self-motivated with good multi-tasking ability
Meticulous and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Corporate Finance / Investment Banking / Private Credit experience a big plus
Willing to learn and invest time to learn venture investment tradecraft
A good University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or Economics or equivalent.
