They are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join their growing team in Malaysia. In this role, you will be accountable for overseeing the seamless movement, storage, and distribution of perishable goods within a controlled environment.
Your primary objective is to lead the logistics team to ensure the secure, timely, and efficient delivery to our valued customers while adhering to food safety and handling regulations. Collaborating closely with the Logistics team, you will play a key role in daily operations and contribute to enhancing existing processes. This position also offers the exciting opportunity to lead significant operation enhancement projects.
The role is based in Malaysia.
Responsibilities
Formulate and execute plans aimed at optimizing logistics process.
Collaborate with buyers, sellers, and distributors to ensure the punctual delivery and quality control
Supervise the safe storage and handling of fresh food products, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Team leadership: Build trust and lead logistics team by example
Manage and uphold accurate inventory levels
Work closely with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and schedule deliveries effectively.
Monitor and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and promptly resolving any logistical issues.
Implement and monitor procedures designed to minimize the risk of product damage or spoilage during transportation.
Work with Country Head and P&L Owner to drive improvement in Logistics processes
Requirements
Proven track record as a logistics manager with experience in fresh/frozen categories
Proficient in utilizing logistics software and systems for tracking and managing shipments.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational leadership and time management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to quality.
Familiarity with food safety and quality standards.
Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
Prior experience with F&B would be a bonus.
