Presales & Consulting Manager (ID) - Mining Tech Consulting Company [23F09]

Candidates will develop customized demos or proofs of concept or implementation plans (asset management product), provide ongoing technical support and guidance to both product, sales and customer (asset management product) and serve as a subject matter expert (asset management area) during sales presentations and discussions

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team to identify customer needs and develop customized demos and proofs of concept to showcase software solutions

  • Act as a subject matter expert (asset management area) during sales presentations and discussions with customers

  • Conduct on-site assessments of customer needs and provide recommendations on how to best leverage software solutions to achieve their goals

  • Support the change management process and enable the customer to fully utilize BTech's software offering (on-site support)

  • Provide mining expertise and best practices to the customer

  • Consult with the customer on changes to key business processes to unlock additional savings

  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure that customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps

Hard Skills

  • Mining expertise: Deep understanding of mining industry across geographies, its specific challenges & opportunities, including but not limited to its operation, processes, safety & environmental regulations (high competence in asset management is a must for this expert position)

  • Application of mining knowledge for problem solving: Identifying and crystalizing client pain points related to the mining industry and influencing clients on how best to solve it based on mining expertise

  • Client relationship building: Showing empathy and understanding client queries and concerns, creating a positive rapport with client, and building trust

  • Technical communication skill: Communicating complex technical mining concepts to non-mining stakeholders, such as the product team or procurement team

  • Negotiation skill: Achieving mutually beneficial outcomes for both client and the company

  • Product integration: Deep understanding of the product and its technical aspects, including integration/ configuration set up

  • Change management: Analyzing, developing, and communicating change management plan with client and managing different perspectives and needs of clients

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in the mining industry, with a strong technical background - a deep understanding of mining industry technology trends and best practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
