Senior Manager, Store Performance - F&B Lifestyle

With a growing multi-store network and a strong emphasis on commercial performance, the company is seeking a commercially driven leader to strengthen store accountability, elevate leadership capability, and drive sustainable business growth across the retail network.
As the Senior Manager, Store Performance, you will serve as the key commercial leader overseeing store performance across the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for driving sales productivity, strengthening commercial ownership amongst Business Managers (Store Managers), and ensuring disciplined execution of operational and manpower strategies across stores. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to translate commercial priorities into clear routines, coaching frameworks, and actionable performance initiatives that improve overall store contribution and long-term business health.
Key Responsibilities
1. Store Performance Management
Drive the commercial performance of the store network, ensuring sales, productivity, labour efficiency, and business targets are consistently achieved.
Analyse store-level performance trends, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective action plans where necessary.
Partner closely with Business Managers to strengthen commercial discipline, accountability, and ownership across all stores.
Escalate major operational or commercial risks to leadership in a timely and solution-oriented manner.
2. Business Manager Leadership & Capability Development
Lead, coach, and develop Business Managers across the network, setting high standards for leadership, accountability, and execution.
Guide Business Managers in balancing sales performance, team leadership, customer experience, and operational discipline.
Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance reviews to strengthen management capability and bench strength.
Support succession planning and identify high-potential talent within the retail leadership team.
Address leadership or performance concerns decisively to ensure consistent management standards across stores.
3. Commercial Reporting, Scorecards & Review Structures
Own and refine store performance scorecards and reporting frameworks used to monitor business performance.
Develop practical toolkits, review templates, and commercial routines that enable Business Managers to drive store performance effectively.
Lead regular business review sessions focused on accountability, operational follow-through, and commercial outcomes.
Use data insights and on-the-ground observations to improve store management practices and leadership effectiveness continuously.
4. Revenue & Productivity Improvement Initiatives
Lead and support store-level initiatives focused on improving sales performance, customer spend, labour productivity, and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with Business Managers to identify localised commercial opportunities and growth initiatives.
Support trading plans, launch readiness, and peak-period operational execution from a commercial performance perspective.
Partner senior leadership on strategic projects relating to store growth, commercial optimisation, and leadership capability building.
5. Rostering, Labour Productivity & Manpower Planning
Oversee manpower planning and rostering to ensure labour deployment aligns with sales trends, productivity expectations, and budget controls.
Review staffing structures and manpower requests with a strong commercial and operational lens.
Lead regular manpower and roster review discussions alongside operational stakeholders.
Ensure stores maintain appropriate staffing levels while balancing efficiency, service quality, and cost management.
6. Team Leadership & Store Stability
Act as the key escalation point for Business Managers on team-related matters, including performance management, staffing challenges, morale concerns, and leadership issues.
Guide managers on handling difficult people situations professionally and in alignment with company standards.
Partner with HR on employee relations matters where necessary.
Support overall store stability by helping managers navigate attrition, manpower shortages, and performance-related staffing issues.
7. Hiring & Talent Management
Lead the recruitment and selection process for Business Manager hires, in partnership with senior leadership.
Assess candidates on leadership capability, commercial judgement, and alignment with the company’s culture and operating environment.
Support the development of a strong leadership pipeline across the retail network.
Coach Business Managers to become stronger talent selectors and interviewers.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operational, finance, HR, and brand stakeholders to ensure alignment between commercial priorities and operational standards.
Participate in cross-functional business reviews covering store performance, manpower planning, operational risks, and customer experience.
Contribute to long-term business initiatives that strengthen both commercial outcomes and operational excellence.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
6–10 years of experience in multi-site retail, F&B, or consumer-facing operations, with strong exposure to commercial performance management.
Proven experience leading and developing large frontline leadership teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and implement practical solutions.
Experience managing labour productivity, rostering, manpower planning, and operational cost controls.
Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and execution discipline.
Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-moving environment where adaptability and initiative are critical.
