Reporting into global leadership, this is a highly strategic and entrepreneurial role responsible for building and scaling the Southeast Asia platform, driving investment strategy, strengthening investor relationships, and partnering with top-tier founders to create and grow venture-scale healthcare businesses across the region.

The Senior Managing Director, Southeast Asia will be the founding leader responsible for establishing and expanding the organisation’s healthcare investment and company-building platform across the region. This role combines venture investing, operational leadership, ecosystem building, and strategic execution, making it ideal for a highly accomplished investor and business builder with deep healthcare and Southeast Asia market expertise.

You will play a critical role in shaping the regional investment thesis, building high-performing teams, developing strategic partnerships, and positioning the platform as the healthcare venture partner of choice in Southeast Asia. The role also requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong perspective on how AI and emerging technologies are transforming healthcare and investment operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will lead fundraising and capital development efforts, cultivating relationships with regional and global investors while strengthening the firm’s position within the Southeast Asia healthcare ecosystem.

• You will define and continuously evolve the organisation’s healthcare investment thesis for Southeast Asia, identifying high-potential opportunities across healthcare services, care delivery, and health technology.

• You will serve as a key member of the Investment Committee, exercising strong judgment in evaluating founders, business models, market opportunities, and investment decisions.

• You will source, assess, and partner with exceptional founders, ensuring the organisation is recognised as a preferred venture and strategic partner in the region.

• You will work closely with founders to build and scale venture-backed healthcare businesses from ideation through launch and growth.

• You will maintain a disciplined and high-performing investment pipeline, balancing speed, prioritisation, and rigorous decision-making.

• You will participate in governance and portfolio oversight activities, including board-level engagement where appropriate.

• You will take ownership of the Singapore entity’s P&L, operational strategy, and regional platform development.

• You will lead the build-out of the Southeast Asia platform, including organisational design, operational processes, team leadership, and culture development.

• You will build and manage a high-performing regional team spanning investing, partnerships, growth, and operational functions.

• You will develop deep relationships across founders, healthcare operators, investors, regulators, and ecosystem stakeholders throughout Southeast Asia.

• You will champion the use of AI and emerging technologies to improve investment workflows, operational effectiveness, and organisational productivity.
  

REQUIREMENTS

• You have 15+ years of experience in venture capital, private investing, or healthcare investing, including at least 5 years leading and managing teams.

• You possess a strong track record of evaluating founders, making investment decisions, and supporting portfolio companies through growth and scaling phases.

• You bring deep healthcare domain expertise across healthcare delivery, health technology, healthcare services, or adjacent sectors.

• You have experience building businesses, investment platforms, or operational infrastructure within Southeast Asia markets.

• You are highly entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in high-growth and ambiguous environments.

• You possess strong networks across founders, investors, healthcare operators, and broader ecosystem stakeholders in the region.

• You are recognised as a strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities and the ability to balance long-term vision with operational excellence.

• You have a strong perspective on how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping healthcare, investing, and business operations, with demonstrated experience leveraging advanced technology tools and workflows to drive impact and productivity.

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree; an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred.
